Approximately 400 delegates (based on the 2015 and 2016 numbers, excluding the trade) are expected to attend the 2017 scientific congress to be held in Kampala - Uganda. This Congress is the number one event on the calendar, with quality presentations and lectures by world-renowned keynote speakers supporting our mission “
Team Work in Eye Care”.

A variety of opportunities remain for companies to promote themselves at this congress. The Organizing Committee has compiled a summary of these opportunities and invites interested companies to select the option best suited to their marketing strategies and product profile.

The participation of the trade is the backbone of a successful congress. We have great appreciation for your continued support of our congresses in the past.

The Organizing Committee would be most grateful if your company would consider participating in this congress. Please note that ONLY trade delegates / representatives in the service of companies participating in the Trade Exhibition OR involved as sponsors will be allowed to attend the congress.

Code of Practice

The relationship between science and commerce is crucial and commercial activities shall not interfere with the scientific objective of this congress. Therefore, Companies should plan their activities in a way to enhance the scientific objective of the meeting. To manage this relationship professionally a “Code of Practice” for participation in the UOS Congress 2017 as Exhibitor or Sponsor will be forwarded to companies intending to participate in this congress. Companies are requested to adopt these guidelines, terms & conditions as this document becomes a binding contractual agreement between the Organizers and Exhibiting Firm (Exhibitor/s) as soon as a company submits a sponsorship proposal.

Sponsors rates are inclusive of exhibition stands.

The registration fee for EACH trade delegate is USD 150 (Early Bird fee – Until February 29)

Both the Welcoming Function and Gala dinner are included. The exhibition floor plan will be made available to interested companies after we have received your Intention Form.

Please take note that MAJOR SPONSORS & EXHIBITORS will get the opportunity to choose their stands first.

Stand allocation will only be confirmed on receipt of full payment. Cancelled stands will result in a 50% cancellation fee of the total fee. No cancellations will be accepted 3 weeks prior to the congress.

Build-up: Exhibitors will be expected to build stands on 16th  August (from 07:00 till late) No further stand building (involving activities sanding, painting, spray painting, sawing, welding inside the Exhibition hall) will be allowed on 26th August at the venue.

Break down: Break down can commence from 18/08/2017 in the exhibition field. All stands should be completely cleared out by 18/08/2017 1700 hours (EAT)
. By submitting an application to participate, the exhibitor makes an irrevocable commitment to occupy the space allocated and to maintain the exhibition stand until 18/08/201 from 1700 hours (EAT)


This is a good opportunity to promote your company.


A sponsorship to COECSA and other Ophthalmology Congresses to the value of USD 1,500 per winner. One winner will be awarded – best oral and poster presentation.


This sponsor will be able to assist the congress in having banners erected for the purposes of the congress. Please contact  info@coecsa.org directly with proposals and to negotiate the fee for branding purposes.


This sponsor could assist us to keep delegates updated regarding congress arrangements. The website will also be utilised for online-registration and updates of the congress programme.
