The congress will be accredited by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board for CPD points.


The official language of the Congress will be English. No simultaneous translation into any other language will be provided.

Average temperature in Malawi  in August is averagely low: 25 – 11° C with clear skies most of the day. Light jackets are essential for the evenings.

The Republic of Malawi, is a landlocked country in southeast Africa and  It lies between latitudes 9° and 18° S and longitudes 32 °and  36°E. It is  bordered by Zambia to the northwest, Tanzania to the northeast and Mozambique to the south, southwest and southeast. The Great Rift Valley runs through the country from north to south, and to the east of the valley lies Lake Malawi.

There are several airlines that  fly to Lilongwe International Airport also known as Kamuzu International Airport, which is the final destination for those attending the conference, there after, you will hire a cab/taxi to your hotels.


It is strongly suggested that all travelers check the latest visa requirements with the nearest Malawi Embassy or Consulate before travelling, Travelers entering Malawi from countries where yellow fever is endemic are often required to present their yellow World Health Organization (WHO) vaccination record or other proof of inoculation.



All delegate registration cancellation requests should be sent to the COECSA Conference Organizing committee in writing and a copy to the COECSA secretariat.

  1. If a delegate is unable to attend the conference for any reason they may substitute, with a delegate of the same category, through a written request at least 30 days prior to the conference,
  2. If a delegate is unable to attend the conference for any reason, his/her registration fees can be left with COECSA or host society and can be used to register the delegate in the following year’s conference. This must be communicated at least 30 days prior the conference. This has to be communicated to the organizing committee and the COECSA secretariat in writing.The registration fee is only applicable for the next consecutive congress.
  3. Where the delegates is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her place to another person or to a subsequent congress, then the following refund arrangements apply:
  • Up to 90 days prior to the conference; 85% fee refund
  • Up to 60 days prior to the conference; refund of 50% the registration fees
  • Less than 60 days prior to the conference; no refund

Refunds will be processed within 2- 3 weeks upon approval by the organizing committee.

No refunds of less than $100 will be issued by wire transfer. If a refund by wire transfer is requested, necessary transaction fees will be borne by the delegate.


All Exhibitors cancellation requests should be sent to the COECSA Conference Organizing committee in writing and a copy to the COECSA secretariat.

  1. Any exhibitor requesting to cancel their sponsorship package 20 weeks or more before the conference date may do so and will get a full refund
  2. Any exhibitor requesting to cancel their sponsorship package 16 – 20 weeks before the conference date may do so with a 50% of their payment refunded.
  3. Any exhibitor requesting to cancel their sponsorship package 15 weeks or less before the conference date will not receive a refund.


The Congress organizers cannot accept any liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss of, or damage to, property belonging to Congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the Congress. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

Participants are required to make and carry their own health and travel insurance. Neither the Congress Organizer and Secretariat, nor any of their contracted service providers, will be responsible for the safety of articles of any kind brought into the congress facilities by congress participants, whether registered or not, their agents, contractors visitors and/or any other person/s whatsoever.

The congress participant indemnifies the organizers and associates of the organizers, and their subcontractors of any costs, demands and expenses or any other claims as a result of any damage, loss or injury caused to any person as a result of any act or default of the Congress Secretariat or a person representing the Congress Secretariat, their contractors or guests.
The congress participants are therefore reminded to take all necessary precautions to prevent any loss or damage to his/her property with special regard to mobile phones, carry-/handbags and computing equipment.


The acceptance of a product or service for exhibition does not in any manner constitute an endorsement by the Organisers, the Host Committee, the COECSA board or the Congress Committees.


Terms and conditions will apply. It is the responsibility of the attendees to acquaint themselves with the Terms and Conditions of the hotels, organizers, suppliers and service providers.
COECSA Exhibitor code of good practice and guidelines are available on request and will be communicated to registered Sponsors and Exhibitors.
