chairman’s address

All delegates, Greetings!

Hope you are doing the best for your health and spirit.

We would like to Thank you for your interest in participating in the virtual COECSA congress 2021.

On behalf of COECSA Congress Planning Committee, we would like to welcome all to the Virtual Congress that shall be held on the 20th-21st August 2021.

Due to the ongoing disruption brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, our scientific congress shall be held virtually. This is based on the restricted travel conditions and ban on physical in-person gatherings by most governments to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Delegates are encouraged to continue submitting their abstracts via abstracts2021@coecsa.org. Abstracts earlier submitted will be handled by the Ophthalmology Society of Malawi (OSM) scientific committee unless delegates re-submit them for consideration for this year’s virtual congress.

We request that you mark your calendars to plan and join us for the inaugural Virtual scientific congress on 20th-21st August 2021.

Dr. Khazim Dhalla

Chair, Scientific Committee
